RE: June 11, 2024, Interim Superintendent Search Subcommittee Meeting
The Interim Superintendent Search Subcommittee Meeting of the Brockton School Committee conducted a meeting on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, live at 5:00 p.m. at the George M. Romm, Little Theatre at Brockton High School.
Mayor Sullivan called the meeting to order at 5:06 p.m. followed by a salute to the flag.
Mayor Sullivan read the following into the record. This meeting will be held and will be accessible to the public via on Comcast channel 8 and /1071HD Version, and online via this link: www.youtube.com/TheBrocktonChannels
Mayor Sullivan took a roll call to establish a quorum.

5. Executive Session: Pursuant to M.G.L. c. 30A, § 21(a)(8), to consider applicants for appointment to the position of Interim Superintendent of Schools, where an open meeting would have a detrimental effect in obtaining qualified applicants.
6. Adjournment
Mayor Sullivan invited Mr. Glenn Koocher on behalf of the Massachusetts Association of School Committees (MASC) to give an overview of the hiring process for Interim Superintendent.
Mr. Koocher gave a brief overview of the process for an Interim Superintendent
Mayor Sullivan announced, “ The Committee will enter Executive Session and read the following:
Pursuant to M.G.L. c. 30A, § 21(a)(8), to consider applicants for appointment to the position of Interim Superintendent of Schools, where an open meeting would have a detrimental effect in obtaining qualified applicants.
Mayor Sullivan asked for a motion to go into Executive Session.
Ms. Oliver motioned to enter Executive Session, seconded by Mr. Rodrigues.
Mayor Sullivan took a roll call vote.
Mr. Rodrigues -Yes Ms. Oliver-Yes Mr. Vega – Yes (via zoom)
Mayor Sullivan - Yes
The motion passes.
The committee will not return to open session following this Executive Session.
School Committee Members went into Executive Session at 5:16pm.
