Sox Alums and Red Sox Foundation Visit Plouffe to Highlight Jackie Robinson's Legacy

What better way to kick off Black History Month than the way BPS did on Jan. 31 -- welcoming Red Sox Alumni and representatives of the Red Sox and Jackie Robinson Foundations to Plouffe for a discussion about Jackie Robinson's lasting legacy as a civil rights and baseball icon?

Plouffe students had the chance to sit in on a panel moderated by NESN's Jahmai Webster about Robinson's impact. They heard from former Sox Jackie Bradley Jr., Mike Cameron and Chico Walker about how Robinson blazed a trail for them and all the other players of color who've come since his debut in April 1947.

Students also wanted to know about the hard work it took to make it to the majors, the highlights of their careers, their most underrated teammates and more.

The Sox also brought along two World Series trophies AND Wally and Tessie! Thank you, Boston Red Sox!
